Tanzania is one of the large countries in Africa. And it is said that it has more than 120 tribes. We can not say that is a lie, but we need to ensure the authenticity of it. When you look only the country itself, you will believe that due to its size. Has nearly 35 regions, including the mainland and Zanzibar.
The very first look at the number of indigenous people of Tanzania. According to the latest of 2012 census, the number of Tanzanians are more than 44 Million, and these are divided into various tribes. Tribe is a group of people or community that either occurred at one focus resided or has found itself a point where compromise has led this group to be able to use the same type of language.
African since time immemorial has been living in the community, and not alone, and this type of living forms tribes namely social groups with special traditions and customs of life, including language as a communication tool.
But in spite of language, ethnicity tend to their style of dress, food, beauty of the body, the type of construction of housing, child care, etc. The social division of any particular nation in Africa be as follows: State (country), regions, district, county, division, village, Street.
In Tanzania we find these classes or tribes of people according to where they came from nature. You can find even ten different tribes, but the former was one tribe, but from this or that reason and then they separated and form another tribe.
Also within any tribe, especially in our country there are small groups, this societies known as clan. A clan is like a small tribe in the largest ethnic group, no wonder you found these clans have different customs and other clans while all are one tribe.
